Congressman Van Drew stands ready to assist in any way possible to stop “price-gouging” happening because of the Coronavirus crisis. There have been numerous reports of basic consumer goods’ prices, such as toilet paper, sanitizers, flights and other necessities, being grossly overpriced.

“Utilizing fear to rip people off during a crisis is abhorrent, dishonest and downright disgusting behavior. I fully support the Department of Justice as they continue to monitor price-gouging incidents and, if need be, will introduce legislation to ensure abusers are punished.” Said Congressman Van Drew. “I will also be in contact with state officials to monitor any issues and best ways to stop people from being taken advantage of in our community."
