We have anesthetic to numb some of the pain COVID has caused our families and friends to feel.
Politicians here in DC refuse to implement this solution and every day our businesses wither on the vine and our neighbors struggle.
This is not a Democrat or Republican problem or solution—it is an imperative.
If we are asking everyone to disrupt their lives, we better be there to ease the pain that restrictions have caused. It is unbelievably dangerous to keep us in limbo with no legislative action.
We have a bi-partisan, bi-cameral solution that will ensure:
Our businesses have access to funds to keep their employees working
Those forced on unemployment can continue to put food on their tables
Funds for our state and local government to combat COVID
Rental assistance for those in need
Instead of passing this solution this week, here are the priorities that Speaker Pelosi has had us vote on instead:
Big Cat legislation
Legalizing marijuana
Commemorative coins
As important as some of these issues may be, the next COVID relief package should be the only point of discussion.
