 Today, Congressman Van Drew is pleased to announce that the Bayshore’s East Point Lighthouse will be re-opening to the public.

“Over the past 5 months, my office has mediated talks between the Maurice River Historical Society and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection,” said Congressman Van Drew. “I’m proud to say that we have worked out a fair and legal license agreement that will allow the East Point Lighthouse to be autonomous, secure, and immediately open to the public.”

Nancy Patterson, President of the Maurice River Historical Society, commented “I’m so thankful for everything Congressman Van Drew has done for us, we would not have been able to reach this agreement without him."

The East Point Lighthouse will be open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4pm starting on August 21st.
