(Pleasantville, New Jersey) – Congressman Jeff Van Drew released the following statement on the Passing of 10-Year-Old Victim of the Shooting at the Pleasantville High School football game on Friday, November 15, 2019:
“Today we received tragic news that 10-year-old Micah, a victim of the Pleasantville High School football game shooting, has passed. My heart goes out to Micah’s family and loved ones. There are no words to describe the pain, anger, and loss. This heartbreaking tragedy has impacted so many lives, and it is unacceptable that we live in a time where this is a recurring issue. I must reiterate this does not need to be our reality. There are bipartisan legislative solutions that we can enact right now that will decrease the likelihood that another family has to suffer this profound tragedy.”
