Washington, DC -Today, Congressman Van Drew celebrated the official federal takeover of the Atlantic City Housing Authority (ACHA) by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

"This is truly a historic moment," said Congressman Van Drew. "Federal takeovers of local housing authorities are incredibly rare, and it only happens when the situation is beyond repair. For years, I have fought to get the federal government to step in because the corruption and mismanagement of the ACHA had gone unchecked for too long, with residents left to suffer the consequences.
