Congressman Van Drew Introduces Resolution to Honor the Unsung Heroes of Wartime

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Van Drew introduced a resolution to designate July 22nd as a day to honor the countless Americans who have played crucial roles during wartime by remaining home and working tirelessly to support those fighting on the frontlines. This day will provide an opportunity to reflect on the collective effort required to maintain our freedom and to express our gratitude to those whose efforts often go unnoticed.

"Throughout the history of our great nation, our soldiers have bravely defended our country in the name of freedom and democracy," said Congressman Van Drew. "But we cannot forget those behind the scenes who often go unrecognized. These unsung heroes have worked tirelessly in factories and mills to produce the supplies and equipment our military needed. Whether it was making uniforms, crafting ammunition, or keeping production lines moving, their hard work was crucial to our success. They often worked long hours in challenging conditions, far from the spotlight, yet their efforts were indispensable. Dedicating this day will allow us to acknowledge and thank these remarkable individuals who truly are the backbone of our nation's defense."
