Project Description: To construct a reverse osmosis water desalination facility in the City of Cape May, New Jersey.

Downe Township Sewer Infrastructure

Requested Amount: $4,000,000

Intended Recipient: Downe Township

Project Description: To construct a treatment plant and sewer system in the town of Fortescue and extend that system to Gandy’s Beach.

Atlantic City International Airport Fire Department Emergency Operations Center

Requested Amount: $225,000

Intended Recipient: Atlantic City International Airport Fire Department

Project Description: To relocate the Emergency Operations Center to the second floor to improve vantage, renovations to accommodate this relocation, and the purchase of equipment including IT Server routers, monitors, and furniture.

Project Description: To build 935 feet of linear bulkhead along Stafford Township’s Mill Creek Park.

ACCC Dental Hygiene School

Requested Amount: $4,000,000

Intended Recipient: Atlantic Cape Community College

Project Description: This project will create a permanent Dental Hygienist program at Atlantic Cape Community College. These funds will be used for the construction of a facility to house the program – either a standalone facility or an addition to an existing building on the Mays Landing campus.

Aviation Training Academy of the Future

Requested Amount: $4,000,000

Intended Recipient: Atlantic County Economic Alliance

Project Description: Requested funding will be used to advance planning, design and engineering, and site preparation of the "Aviation Training Academy of the Future," (ATAF), a joint initiative of the Atlantic County Economic Alliance, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and the U.S. Air Force at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Woodbine Drone Port

Requested Amount: $6,300,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Woodbine

Project Description: The objective of this initiative is to convert the Woodbine Municipal General Aviation Airport into a test and operations site for drones, electric vertical take-off and landing (EVTOL) and other advanced aviation systems. Requested funds will be used to execute Phase One of this development plan, to construct a modern terminal with a hangar attachment.

Little Egg Harbor Boulevard Living Shorelines

Requested Amount: $5,000,000

Intended Recipient: Borough of Tuckerton

Project Description: Funding will be used to protect and increase the amount of quality salt marsh in the Tuckerton Beach area by employing living shoreline techniques that reduce coastal erosion, enhance habitat and improve water quality.

Radio Road

Requested Amount: $2,320,000

Intended Recipient: Little Egg Harbor Township

Project Description: The requested funding will address safety concerns by adding sidewalks, ADA curb ramps, bike lanes, crosswalks, road widening, and other improvements that will greatly improve the safety and accessibility of Radio Road.

Vineland Soup Kitchen

Requested Amount: $1,000,000

Intended Recipient: Spirit & Truth Ministries

Project Description: The Vineland Soup Kitchen/ Spirit & Truth Ministries is a 501(c)(3) organization located in the heart of Vineland, Cumberland County, NJ. The Soup Kitchen does not currently have the storage space it needs. There is limited storage in the basement for canned goods and other items and the Soup Kitchen does not have its own freezer space and very limited refrigerator space. This poses a logistical challenge. To remedy these challenges, they are requesting funds to purchase a building solely for Soup Kitchen use; conduct renovations necessary to convert the building into a food service facility; purchase and install a commercial-grade refrigerator and freezer units and; purchase and install vertical gardens to grow some of its own produce.

Strathmere Living Shorelines

Requested Amount: $3,000,000

Intended Recipient: Strathmere Fishing and Environmental Association

Project Description: This funding would be used for hydrodynamic modeling, intergovernmental coordination on permitting, nature-based marsh restoration, oyster aquaculture, and the construction of nature-based solutions including breakwaters and berm protections.

Millville Baseball Facilities

Requested Amount: $1,250,000

Intended Recipient: City of Millville

Project Description: Requested funds would be used for lighting systems, turf installation, crowd safety netting, batting cage netting, and a separate field renovation. The proposed improvements to Millville American Little League's Sharp Street and Kates Blvd complexes will help address serious safety and operational concerns for our youth baseball programs along with renovate or replace outdated field equipment at both Sharp Street and Kates Blvd complexes.

Hereford Inlet to Cape May Inlet, NJ, General Reevaluation Report

Requested Amount: $550,000

Intended Recipient: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District

Project Description: Hereford Inlet to Cape May Inlet, NJ, is a federally authorized shore protection project that covers multiple municipalities on the Wildwoods barrier island of New Jersey. Stakeholders agree there is a need to identify an offshore borrow site to supplement the project. Evaluating options requires a formal Army Corps Study in the form of a General Reevaluation Report (GRR.) The requested federal funds would be used to initiate and execute this study.

Maurice River Study

Requested Amount: $550,000

Intended Recipient: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District

Project Description: This study is authorized through the Water Resources Development Act of 2022. It includes an evaluation of opportunities for navigation by increasing authorized depth, beneficial use of dredged material, hurricane and storm damage risk reduction, and ecosystem restoration.
