MAYS LANDING,--Today, Congressman Van Drew requested a state of emergency declaration in response to severe weather in South Jersey. Storms and winds battered down areas already struggling with resource allocation during the COVID-19 crisis. A state of emergency must be declared for the areas impacted to have access to funds.
WASHINGTON, - Today, Congressman Jeff Van Drew offered his support of, and ideas for the next round of stimulus funding being discussed. The enactment of the third round of stimulus is up and running, however we are still waiting on the total rollout to be fully enacted.
South Jersey now has several Coronavirus testing sites. These locations are for residents of the counties, by appointment and having met certain criteria for testing. We will keep you posted as additional sites open.

Washington—Today, the Federal Transit Authority (FTA) announced grants from monies allocated to them in the COVID-19 relief package(CARES Act) that was passed and signed into law last Friday(3/27). South Jersey is expected to receive more than $130 million dollars in funds.

The hearings are to discuss the proposal to raise tolls in South Jersey by a whopping 36% at time when public gatherings are prohibited, and the state is under restrictive quarantine measures.
