WASHINGTON- Today, Congressman Jeff Van Drew announced his opposition to the $3 trillion spending bill that Nancy Pelosi unveiled this week. While there are pieces of this legislation that would be beneficial to the current COVID crisis we are in, Speaker Pelosi has added in her wishlist of progressive, nation-changing proposals that she knows will never be signed into law.
Washington- Congressman Jeff Van Drew had a telephone meeting this afternoon with Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services(HHS) Eric Hargan on COVID-19 payments to hospital systems that arbitrarily missed out on hotspot funding. To receive the hotspot funding the hospital must have had 100 confirmed COVID-19 patients by April 10th.
MAYS LANDING- Today, Congressman Jeff Van Drew is calling on Governor Murphy to surge resources and create a taskforce over the shortfalls in execution on unemployment payments.

WASHINGTON- Today, Congressman Van Drew voted in support of additional funding for programs designed to only be utilized by small businesses and those on the frontlines of healthcare in their time of need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
WASHINGTON- Congressman Jeff Van Drew announced his support for the ability of Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) to access funds made available during the COVID-19 emergency funding legislation. South Jersey is home to numerous DMOs, whose goal it is to promote and increase tourism and travel to certain areas.
Washington- Congressman Jeff Van Drew has announced his support for an additional wave of funding to galvanize the existing programs passed last month in the CARES Act and prior. Congressman Van Drew will oppose any additions not pertaining to the public health crisis at hand.
